Cusco is at an altitude of 3,399 meters above sea level, which can cause altitude sickness or “soroche” in some people. It is recommended that attendees who are not used to the altitude take the necessary precautions:
– Rest on the first day.
– Drink plenty of water and coca tea.
– Avoid alcohol and heavy meals.
